advocating Governance based on Verification, Valor, and Virtue.

Democracy should not be designed to serve Wealth,
rather, wealth should be designed to serve democracy.

But Wait! There’s More!

Some vast number of years ago there were, so current knowledge indicates, some primates.

Fred and Mary, holding hands and looking toward the horizon and into each other’s dreamy eyes, said, 'let’s head thataway', and off they went to found the many tribes of the Chimpanzee family. The tribes (the remaining few) now live each in their little domains enjoying a little bit of a rough and tumble daily life, always fighting and bickering and playing king-of-the-mountain – unless some other tribe in the Chimpanzee family happens by, at which point they unite to beat the crap out of the offensive intruders.

Bob and Alice, on the other hand, scoffed at Fred and Mary’s simple mindedness – there is a greater glory, a truer path to walk, and Bob and Alice were determined to find it. So off they went to found the many tribes of the Human family. The tribes (in their still mushrooming multitudes) now live each in their little domains enjoying a little bit of a rough and tumble daily life, always fighting and bickering and playing king-of-the-mountain – unless some other tribe of the Human family happens by, at which point they unite to beat the crap out of the offensive intruders.

Could the fact that both families share an almost identical genome have something to do with it? Hmmm…

Bob and Alice’s progeny are conceited enough to think they think rationally. No mere dumb animals are they! No sir, the Human family is a clear-eyed and thoughtful demi-god, forging its way into a future that’s so bright they gotta wear shades. And on that glorious journey, Humanity remains entirely in rational control of its behaviors, a control based on the rules of objective knowledge, the rules of logic, and, most important, the rules of immutable morality.

Uh-huh.

So, again, do we really want equality? Do we really want democracy? Really, really? Even when it can be demonstrated to be feasible? So if you say yes, tell me, where’s the evidence? Or do we just like the big talk, the wink-wink, nudge-nudge, and a lot of strutting back and forth?
